Discover the allure of Mazambala Island, an oasis of peace and tranquility where time stands still. Known among local tribes as "Island of Abundance". In keeping with this tribal name, Mazambala offers an abundance of unspoiled beauty, an abundance of animal and bird life and an abundance of hospitality. Nestled amongst tall tropical trees and palms, the thatched main lodge is built on three-metre high stilts. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy fine meals and ice cold drinks, while enjoying the birdlife in this veritable treehouse.

A twelve meter high tower with two viewing platforms offers sweeping views of the papyrus and reed lined river and its vast flood plain. Enjoy African sunsets and sip sundowners while watching animals coming to the river to drink. Relax around nightly fires on the traditional "lapa" while listening to the beat of distant drums, grunting hippos and a chorus of bell frogs.
The turn-off to Mazambala from the Trans Caprivi Highway (B8) is approximately 3 km east of the police checkpoint on the Kwando River or about 4 km west of Kongola.
